Class Descriptions

MS Life Science + Lab: This class is an in-depth study of life including labs, a great preparation for HS Biology.
MS Earth and Space + Lab: Explors the wonders of geology, oceanography, meteorology, and more
HS Chemistry + Lab: Taught from a creation based, Christian perspective. Learn about metals and nonmetals, solutions and colloids, and chemical thermodynamics and kinetics.
HS Biology + Lab: An in-depth study of the familiar things of nature, progressively moving towards the study of God’s amazing design at the cellular and chemical levels
HS Physics + Lab: covers both theoretical and practical aspects of physics, including topics such as friction, gravity, energy, momentum, and thermodynamics

Math
Math Fundamentals: The basic building blocks of mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as concepts like number theory, algebra, and geometry
PreAlgebra: Learn the foundations for advanced math with a knowledgeable instructor and the excellent College of the Redwoods text.
Algebra: exponents and radicals, linear equations and inequalities, ratio and proportion, systems of linear equations, factoring quadratics, complex numbers, completing the square, and the quadratic formula.
Geometry: includes topics such as similar triangles, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, funky areas, power of a point, three-dimensional geometry, transformations, introductory trigonometry, and more.
Algebra II: quadratics, systems of equations, clever factorizations, complex numbers, functions, graphing, sequences and series, special functions, exponents and logarithms, and more

Art: Explore famous artists and their works while learning about and practicing various art techniques.

Foreign Language
Latin I: First Form Latin, the ideal text for all beginners. Students will gain a solid grasp on tenses of the first two conjugations, five noun declensions, adjectives and over 100 vocabulary words.
Latin II: Continuation of Latin I. A very logical approach to learning Latin.
Spanish I: Using Abeka's Spanish program, students will learn grammar, vocabulary and facts about the culture of Spanish - speaking regions.

Social Studies
Geography & Culture: Classes not only focus on location of important places, but will delve into history, culture and current events helping the information to stick.
Civics and Character: Citizenship is a serious responsibility. To exercise that responsibility, people have to both know about their country, and care for it. With lessons on how America was formed, American heroes and their virtues, we inspire students to practice the self-control that makes self-government possible.
Famous People from History Learn history through case studies of famous historical individuals. We will discuss their virtues and vices and how they impacted those around them and reenact some of our favorites. FULL
Biblioplan: A fun interactive class providing a strong foundation in America's earlier years and discussions on why this is important to learn, what does that mean for us today.
